學院走廊 到達紐約的第二天，當地居住的友人首先帶領我們乘地鐵前往位於曼克頓北部的哥倫比亞大學。這個景點原本不是我們計劃行程之內，也許友人覺得我會喜歡參觀這個地方吧。真的，哥倫比亞大學真是非去不可。哥倫比亞大學不但是世界頂尖的知名學府，常春藤盟校之一，而且也是最早接受中國留學生的美國大學之一，文化界大師級人馬胡適和蔣夢麟都畢業於該校。徐踏同路，回望前塵；見賢思齊，睹物憶人。 不愧百年老校（一七五四年成立至今已經不止一百年了），古風盎然，從一邊閘門穿過學院走廊往另一閘門，所到之處，古典建築臨立，尤其是分別屹立在走廊兩側的仿古羅馬建築物－巴特勒圖書館與現已改為大學行政中心的勞氏紀念圖書館。抬望眼，遠眺巴特勒圖書館的頂樓上刻有古代先哲的名字：古希臘詩人荷馬、《歷史》的作者希羅多德、劇作家索福克勒斯、哲學家柏拉圖、亞里士多德、民主政治家狄摩西尼、古羅馬政治家西塞羅、詩人維吉爾。另一邊廂，在勞氏紀念圖書館的頂樓上則刻有題詞，大意為：英王書院於喬治二世在位期間在新約克郡皇家特許創立，並由紐約州人民延續成為哥倫比亞書院。人民自此獲得自由與獨立，並守護與珍重其精神，代代延續，薪火相傳。以利公益的發展，彰顯上帝的榮耀。 縱使美國是一個年輕的國家，獨立的國家，然而歷史未曾忘記，古蹟依然保存。從勞氏紀念圖書館的題詞可見，那兒沒有以愛國為由，政治正確為由，而抹殺前宗主國的功蹟，竄改或歪曲殖民者留下的歷史。政治歸政治，事實歸事實。常言以史為鑑的國家更應當以此反思。 我們漫步至走廊中段，四周張望，探看當地人做些什麼事情。走廊兩旁有一些草坪，以當地的尺度來看並不算寬廣，但是對熱愛日光浴的美國人來說，那也算是平日休閒的好地方。在草坪上有不少人一邊享受陽光一邊閱讀，更有一個女生穿著比堅尼泳裝伏在草地上看書，還有一個小孩子則在另一片草地上發射他的氣壓火箭玩具。大家在自由的環境，自由的氣氛，以自由的方式，自由地對知識的追求與享受。這時候我不禁想起某位香港的大學校長曾經訴說：在美國做教授的時候，他喜愛和其它學生一同坐在大學草地上討論。在他管理的那所大學也有大片草坪，可惜學生多數只會在拍畢業照的時候稍留一會。 不知不覺來到走廊的盡頭，甫出校門便是世界知名藝術表演場地－林肯中心。如果說哥倫比亞大學是古代的經典，那麼林肯中心便是現代的經典。當進入林肯中心的廣場，我們便看見一個宏大的水池，池中...

She and I visited Hong Kong Disneyland four years ago when she was just my friend while we visited it again four years later as this year when she has become my wife. HK Disneyland 20-21 Mar 2010 Thanking Dragon Jewelry for giving us a package of 1-night Disneyland Hotel with 2-day Disneyland access , we could enjoy the so-called Victorian residence and stay in the smallest disneyland for very long time. My wife, who is crazy about any Disney's stuff, however said that she wanted to leave it as soon as possible and she missed home! Over four years, the theme park has had no change at all, except the establishment of It's A Small World and the missing of the train and Lion King Festival. We finished our walk by just half a day. Although our package was the one with seaview and balcony, only a part of seaview could be seen and the balcony was dirty. What's more, the border of the bathroom mirror was broken. I traveled Macau last weekend. It was the third time for me to go sightseeing in Macau, although I have visited Macau many times because of my relatives. By comparing my three times of travel experiences, we can see the change of Macau along the years. Macau 20-21 Feb 2010 The first travel was in the Fall of 2005. It was the time just after the Historic Centre of Macau was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Although the monopoly system of gambling was ended in 2002, Macau still remained itself as a silent and simply island with long history. The second travel was in the Fall of 2006. I saw the rapid change of Macau. Both the traditional and the advanced were fused at the island. We visited hundreds year buildings, ate local foods and entered casinos invested by foreign ventures. Only SANDS and Wynn were many enough to make waves in the gambling industry. I stayed at Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 Hotel, which was a five star hotel managed by a french venture.
